Thank you, Pope Francis!
Pope Francis has gone Home.
Well done, my good and faithful servant! You deserves rest, peace, and eternal love…
I will miss him tremendously!
What happens now?
He saw the broken.
He visited the prisons.
He feed the homeless.
What will happen with the next Pope?
We are not to worry but to trust!
God has complete control and authority over all!
Over the enemy!
Over the ones who may not give full witness to the Gospel
Over the naive ones
Over the immature ones
Over the ones doing the best they can
Over All!!!
I love Pope Francis! He spoke my language! We both followed the lead of St Francis! Our hearts were in alignment on many topics!
And yet I remember that Pope John Paul II had a profound impact to help woman move closer to being authentically represented by our faith. And Pope Benedict got us rooted more securely in the truth of God’s law. And all of those papacy’s are covered with a dark cloud of the enemy who settled deep into the thoughts of some faith leaders and created a depth of pain that impacted so many innocents, so many of God’s children.
I do hope that God is bringing the hammer down on satan and his evil ways. I wait expectantly for the Holy One to put that little weasel that causes so much suffering in his place.
With each Pope’s purpose, the ones mentioned, and all previous popes who got us to where we are, could it be that God is setting the stage for a new world, a new consciousness, a new age?
He is! I have no doubt about it!
It’s prophecy!
It’s scriptural!
It’s truth!
The question no one can answer is…but when?
I think Jesus would respond using the word He told the apostles frequently in The Chosen… soon!
What is soon?
We do not know.
But God does!
He knows all.
He has a plan.
It is good!
Our trust must begin and end with our Creator! Our Holy Father along with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the Trinity! That must be where we go!
They should be the ones …
Who we turn to
Who we trust
Who we go to for our answers
From there we can add other people of faith to follow, to learn from, to strive to be like in their Holiness, while remembering that Jesus is the only Perfect person fully human and divine!
His Mother, Mary who without Jesus is nothing, is very close in nature to her Son but she is not Divine, as is Joseph his Father…
When we move out from there, we will see more sinful behaviors in the lives of the imperfect followers. We hear about errors of their past, murderers, and rapists can become prophets. Prisoners and addicts can heal and preach the Gospel better than some academic ones who learned it through books and formal education. The ones who are limited in what we in the world view as necessary such as Helen Keller(without eyesight or hearing), Corrie ten Boom (without freedom as a Holocaust survivor), or Mother Teresa (without money, constantly begging for resources to heal the sick and the orphans) bring forth Sacred truth to a degree that leave the rest of us obeserving in amazement.
We all have one thing in common, inside of us God has placed a Holy Hole, a homing device, so to speak… a vacancy with a yearning so intense that the Only way to fill the emptiness is through Christ!
Do we know this Christ?
The One who is unable to do anything but Love
The One whose main purpose for every single person is to be in relationship with Him
The One who leaves the 99 to find any 1 who is lost
The One who forgives
The One who handed over His own humanity by death on a cross to not only pay the price for our sins but to get our attention, to show us, to draw us near
We humans struggle to accept this gift but who are we to reject it?
Working daily to accept this gift moves us closer to God. It’s a lifelong journey with roads of unpredictable travel some smooth and others treacherous. Accepting our inheritance is not easy but well worth the struggle and perseverance it takes to get there.
Pope Francis was a gift of fresh perspective for me personally. I feel incredibly blessed having seen him with a crowd at the Vatican. In the next few weeks, we will learn in greater detail more about him. I’m sure his mistakes will also be exposed in the airways. He was human too! Everyone does not share my deep admiration. When people pass from this world the dialogue of their life takes on new insight.
Pope Francis’s heart may no longer be beating but we know he is not dead. Christ defeated death! The Pope’s spirit remains alive. We may not be able to experience him live by watching him in the pope mobile or hearing him give a message of searching for an end to war or encouraging the world to express compassion for the immigrant or witnessing him defy his medical team by going out when they told him to stay home. We will however have an opportunity to know more about how He served God to a greater degree than before.
His soul will not die! It lives! And we as God’s children can keep it alive! Just as a cardinal may fly by to say hello from a deceased loved one, or the voice representing someone who no longer lives on earth can be heard in our heads, or a strong presence of support is felt thick in the room, we can still feel our loved ones near! And they can linger! It’s a spiritual mystery, another incredible gift that can’t be earned but can only be accepted as a gift.
We must have our hearts open to it. God won’t make us believe. He invites us into the spiritual realm the way He invites us into his Kingdom and into His Loving embrace.
We just need to accept his offering. We just need to say yes. As did Pope Francis. As did Mary when she gave her Fiat.
Why wait another minute?
Pope Francis, I hope you are dancing at the party!
